Order of the Chief of Staff, Secretary General
of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia

FUNCTIONS PUBLIC RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATION DEPARTMENT
1. The Department, for the implementation of the tasks assigned to it within the scope of its powers, shall perform the following functions:
1) shall organize and provide publicity, coverage of the activities of the National Assembly, its bodies, and the Staff, as well as through mass media shall inform the public about the work of the Chairperson of the National Assembly and other bodies of the National Assembly;
2) shall provide information regarding the official and working visits, meetings, and press conferences of the Chairperson and the Vice Chairpersons National Assembly, shall monitor the press, shall provide the bodies of the National Assembly with the necessary information, on the basis of the results shall analyze the press for a week, a month, providing the materials to the bodies of the National Assembly;
3) shall implement the study and analysis of issues raised in letters and requests addressed to the Chairperson and the Staff of the National Assembly, shall obtain the necessary information and, on the bases of those, shall answer the applicants;
4) shall perform other functions established by law.
FUNCTIONS OF THE INFORMATION AND ANALYTICAL DIVISION
2. The Information and Analytical Division, for the implementation of the tasks assigned to it within the scope of its powers, shall perform the following functions:
1) shall inform the public about the activities of the National Assembly through the mass media, providing the publicity of the activities of the National Assembly;
2) shall provide communication of the Chairperson of the National Assembly and the Staff with the means of mass media;
3) shall implement the accreditation of the representatives of the means of mass media by the procedure as prescribed by the Council;
4) shall provide the press conferences and interviews with the Chief of the Staff and, by his recommendation, with other officials of the Staff;
5) shall provide information on the work of ordinary and extraordinary sessions, extraordinary sittings of the National Assembly, about the sittings of the Council, sittings of the standing committees and Ad-hoc committees, about parliamentary hearings, meetings, and about press conferences;
6) shall monitor the press, shall provide the bodies of the National Assembly with the necessary information, and, on the basis of the results, shall analyze the press for a week, for a month, providing the materials to the bodies of the National Assembly;
7) shall provide the press and information media of foreign states with materials regarding the activities of the National Assembly;
8) shall cooperate, as necessary, with the information services of the government bodies;
9) shall provide the implementation of information services on the web page;
10) shall perform other functions established by law.
FUNCTIONS OF THE CORRESPONDENCE DIVISION
3. The Correspondence Division, for the implementation of the tasks assigned to it within the scope of its powers, shall perform the following functions:
1) shall conduct the News section of the website of the National Assembly, including the development and posting the information;
2) shall provide publicity on meetings of factions of the National Assembly, parliamentary hearings, the work of standing committees and the Ad-hoc committees, and shall prepare media release;
3) shall provide the organization and holding of briefings and press conferences of the Chairperson, Vice-Chairpersons of the National Assembly, committees, factions, and Deputies of the National Assembly;
4) shall prepare information regarding press conferences being held in the National Assembly;
5) shall implement correspondent activities in the course of coverage of work;
6) shall participate in conferences and seminars held in the National Assembly, and shall prepare information;
7) in the procedure as prescribed by the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, shall provide the representatives of the mass media with the necessary information regarding issues debated at sittings of the National Assembly and issues debated at the sittings of the standing committees;
8) shall perform other functions established by law.
FUNCTIONS OF THE MEDIA PRODUCTION DIVISION
4. The Media Production Division, for the implementation of the tasks assigned to it within the scope of its powers, shall perform the following functions:
1) shall provide publicity regarding the activities of the official delegations of the National Assembly, of the inter-parliamentary cooperation commissions, and the activities of the friendship groups of the National Assembly;
2) shall provide preparation for the broadcast of the television program Parliamentary Week;
3) shall provide the preparation of video recordings of Deputies of the National Assembly, the Chairperson of the National Assembly and the Staff, and their publication on the pages and websites of the National Assembly on social networks;
4) shall implement archiving of photos and videos regarding the events in the National Assembly;
5) shall perform other functions established by law.
